FAQs

Depending on the size of your garden and your style, we have a few different fruit cage designs for you to choose from ranging from domed cages, walk-in cages, practical starter or fruit bushes cages - ideal to protect from birds.

We recommend a depth of 11in for maximum strength and longevity against weather conditions. However, if there is a risk of snowfall, we recommend removing the fruit cage roof netting to prevent damage which can be caused by the weight of settling snow.

Our fruit cages come with a standard woven 19mm roof net, and side nets made from extruded composite material. UV stabilised and cut to order in our Bristol workshop, our fruit cage nets fit tightly around our cages for a neat appearance.

You can grow a variety of soft fruits such as raspberries, blackberries, currants, gooseberries, blueberries, and strawberries but also small fruit trees such as cherry and plum which will benefit from the extra protection a fruit cage can give them.
