FAQs

For all lovers of roses, you can train a few stems along the side of your obelisk using climbing wires, soft ties, or some jute twine to keep them upright. Simply tie-in as they grow to shape them around your obelisk. Once the stems have grown enough, you can cut off the wires or twine as your rose is established. 

For clematis and climbing plants in general, our advice is to plant them first where you think they will make a statement in your garden, prop your obelisk on top and slightly off-centre your garden obelisk to avoid placing the obelisk in the middle of the plant. It will allow your clematis to gain support for the structure by trailing naturally to the side of your obelisk.
